Many people don't know that having a TIA is a serious warning sign of potential future stroke, even though it happens to more than 240,000 Americans every year1.
More than 1/3 of Americans who have a TIA will eventually suffer a stroke.2 Although studies may vary, up to 20% will have one within 90 days.3 Stroke is a serious event with long-lasting consequences: 70% of stroke survivors will have some type of disability.4 If you think you are having a TIA, it's important to call 911 immediately!
